Kinto Static Terms of Use
Last updated: 31 October 2026.
These terms cover the free WordPress plugin Kinto Static from Kinto LLC (“Kinto”, “we”), and the connect relay (connect.kinto.co) and problem-report service (feedback.kinto.co) it can use. By installing or using them, you agree to these terms.
Contact: [email protected]. Address: KINTO LLC (OtoCo WY LLC – KINTO – Series 383, a U.S. Series LLC), 5212 Ardmore Springs Circle, Greenville, SC 29615, United States.
1. The plugin is free software
Kinto Static is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL-2.0-or-later). You may use, study, change and share it under that license. The license text is at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html. If these terms conflict with the GPL for the plugin code, the GPL wins.
The Kinto name and logo are brand assets of Kinto LLC and are not licensed under the GPL.
2. No warranty
The plugin and the services are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that they are error-free, always available, or fit for your site. A static copy cannot do everything WordPress does (for example forms, comments, carts, logins; the plugin has a built-in search add-on, but other WordPress search features may not carry over). The plugin tells you what will stop working; you decide whether to publish.
3. Your responsibilities
- Your Cloudflare account is yours. You are responsible for it, its access keys, its costs and its limits (for example Cloudflare Pages free-plan limits). Cloudflare’s own terms apply: https://www.cloudflare.com/terms/. Kinto is independent and is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Cloudflare, Inc.
- Your content is yours. You are responsible for what you publish and for having the right to publish it.
- Keep backups. Back up your WordPress site and your Cloudflare settings before using the plugin, especially before changing domain settings.
- Protect your keys. If you stop using the plugin, press Disconnect and delete any access key you created.
4. Acceptable use of the relay and the report service
Please do not:
- Send false, abusive, automated or bulk reports, or use the report service for anything other than reporting a problem with Kinto Static.
- Put personal data, secrets or unlawful content in a report.
- Try to get around rate limits, break, overload, probe or scan the services, or use the relay to redirect people to sites you do not control.
- Use the relay with a return address that is not your own site.
We may block access, rate-limit, or delete data to protect the services. The services may change or stop at any time. The plugin’s main function (publishing with your own access key) does not depend on them.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data the services handle: https://kinto.co/privacy
6. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kinto is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost data, downtime, or a site that is unavailable or broken after publishing, or for charges from Cloudflare or other third parties. Our total liability for anything related to the plugin or services is limited to the amount you paid us for the plugin or services in the 12 months before the claim (the plugin is free, so this is zero). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for fraud or gross negligence).
7. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, note it in the plugin’s changelog. If you keep using the plugin or services after a change, you accept the new terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law of your country gives you other rights.
